Modular apartment buildings
With the Pacarada Modular Building System, apartment buildings are built in series. Apartments, bathrooms and building services are made in a factory in Germany and assembled on site. That delivers housing faster, from a small block to a building with 50 storeys.
What the system does for your housing project
- Ready to move in sooner: In Darmstadt, a vacant office building was converted into 197 homes in 18 months, with bathroom modules, an extension and added storeys. That was 44% faster than conventional construction.
- Fewer skilled workers on site: Most of the work happens in the factory. Fewer people work on site, and for a shorter time.
- Consistent quality: Every apartment is made under the same conditions in the factory. Bathrooms arrive as finished modules.
- High energy standard: In Frankfurt-Rödelheim, 123 apartments were built as Effizienzhaus 40 with QNG and DGNB.

The system behind it: made in Germany
The Pacarada Modular Building System comes from Kelkheim (Taunus) and is made in Germany. At its core is the Cube, an internationally patented steel connection node. All components are bolted and plugged together at it, from a single beam to a finished room module. Steel, timber and concrete can be combined. How many storeys are possible?
The Pacarada Modular Building System is designed for buildings from 1 to 50 storeys. Grid, span and storey height are adapted to the project.
Who is the system suitable for?

Can storeys be added to existing buildings?
Yes. In Liederbach am Taunus, 30 apartments were built from 33 modules above a refurbished supermarket. Whether a building can take extra storeys is checked in advance.
