Modular schools

With the Pacarada Modular Building System, schools, extensions and individual classrooms can be built as permanent buildings. The components are made in a factory in Germany. On the school site they are only assembled, so building work alongside lessons is kept short.

What the system does for your school

• Short time on the school site: Most of the work happens in the factory. Assembly on site is short and can be scheduled for school holidays or quieter periods.
• Permanent, not temporary: The result is a full school building, not a container classroom.
• Grows with pupil numbers: More classrooms or another storey can be added later, provided the structure and planning law allow it.
• Can be used differently later: If demand falls, rooms can be converted or components reused at another site.

The system behind it: made in Germany

The Pacarada Modular Building System comes from Kelkheim (Taunus) and is made in Germany. At its core is the Cube, an internationally patented steel connection node. All components are bolted and plugged together at it, from a single beam to a finished room module. Steel, timber and concrete can be combined. Frequently asked questions

Is a modular school a container building?

No. It is a permanent building. The same requirements for fire protection, sound insulation and thermal insulation apply as for a conventionally built school.

Who is the system suitable for?

Towns, municipalities and districts as school authorities, and private school operators who need additional rooms quickly.

Can building take place while the school is in use?

Yes, as a rule. Because the modules arrive finished, most noise and site traffic fall within the short assembly period.
