Hospitals, practices and care homes often have to grow while operations continue. With the Pacarada modular building system, extensions, ward buildings and care facilities are made in the factory and installed on site in a short time. The Pacarada Group brings together design, building services (SHS Haustechnik GmbH, since 2003), manufacturing and installation, which shortens coordination between trades.
The system is suitable for care homes, assisted living, staff housing, practice and administration space and for extensions of existing hospitals. Room modules with finished bathrooms save a lot of construction time, especially in care.
Because the buildings are bolted instead of welded, they can later be extended, converted or reused elsewhere, so the building grows with demand.

Healthcare providers often need extra space at short notice: for a new ward, a medical centre, day care or as a temporary building during a renovation. At the same time, ongoing operations must hardly be disturbed. Modular construction moves most of the noise, dust and site traffic into the factory; what remains on site is mainly the installation.
Services and fit-out from the factory
Patient rooms with en-suite bathrooms, treatment rooms and staff areas are prepared in the factory, including all cabling and pipework. Prefabricated bathroom pods and surfaces finished under factory conditions make cleaning and hygiene easier. Connections for medical equipment and ventilation are defined during planning and built into the modules.
Care homes and assisted living
Care homes, assisted living and shared housing also benefit from the module grid: rooms of the same size are produced efficiently in series, while communal areas are planned individually.
