The Pacarada Group<\/h3>\n

The system is backed by a group of companies from Kelkheim (Taunus), Germany: SHS Haustechnik GmbH (since 2003, building services), P3 GmbH (since 2008, general contractor with more than 2,000 conventionally built and refurbished homes) and Pacarada Modular Building Systems (since 2020). Who makes the Pacarada modular building system?<\/h4>\n

Pacarada Modular Building Systems, based in Kelkheim (Taunus), Germany, a company of the Pacarada Group. The system and its core component, the Cube, are engineered and manufactured in Germany.<\/p>\n

What is the Cube?<\/h4>\n

The Cube is an internationally patented steel connection node. Columns, beams, wall and floor elements and complete room modules are bolted and plugged to it. This single node is the basis for buildings from one to 50 storeys.<\/p>\n

What are the advantages over conventional construction?<\/h4>\n

Most of the work happens in the factory. That shortens construction time (44% faster than conventional construction on the Darmstadt project), needs fewer skilled workers on site, makes the schedule predictable and reduces waste. Because nothing is welded, buildings can later be converted, dismantled and reused.<\/p>\n

Which buildings is the system suitable for?<\/h4>\n

Housing and student accommodation, schools and nurseries, healthcare and care buildings, hotels, offices and commercial buildings. It works for new builds as well as for added storeys, extensions and the conversion of existing buildings.<\/p>\n

Which materials can be combined?<\/h4>\n

Steel, timber, concrete and plastic can be connected at the Cube, for example as steel & steel, steel & timber or steel & concrete. Columns and beams (1D), wall and floor elements (2D) and finished room modules (3D) can be combined in one building.<\/p>\n

Can any company build with the system?<\/h4>\n

Yes. The Pacarada Modular Building System, also called the Pacarada Modular Business System, is open to every contractor, design practice and supplier. The partner programme and all system components are on pacaradasystem.de.<\/p>\n
