Why build modular?<\/h2>\n

Construction is getting more expensive, skilled workers are scarce and homes are urgently needed. Modular construction answers all three: buildings are made in the factory while the site is prepared, and are finished sooner.<\/p>\n

Buildings made with the Pacarada modular building system are bolted instead of welded. They can be extended, converted, dismantled and reused elsewhere, so the building keeps its value even when its use changes.<\/p>\n

Steel can be recycled again and again without losing quality. 83% of our material offcuts are recyclable, and we aim to cut waste to 1% by 2040.<\/p>\n

Because foundations and connections are prepared on site while the modules are built in the factory, construction time drops significantly: by 44% on our Darmstadt project.<\/p>\n

That saves money: schools, hospitals and homes can be used earlier, rental income starts sooner, financing costs fall and the site needs fewer skilled workers.<\/p>\n

When modular construction pays off<\/h2>\n

Modular building shows its strengths wherever many similar rooms are needed: apartments, student rooms, classrooms, patient rooms or hotel rooms. The more repetition there is, the more work can move into the factory and the bigger the time advantage over a traditional building site.<\/p>\n
